PSG Talon is a professional League of Legends team resulting from the partnership between PSG Esports and Talon Esports, founded in December 2019. In that sense, PSG Talon is one of the teams that is part of the Pacific Championship Series (PCS), which represents the highest league within League of Legends in the regions of Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau and Southeast Asia. It is in this instance where PSG Talon has become the team with the greatest success and projection.
A few weeks ago it was announced that PSG Talon will be present at the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) after having won both the regular phase and the playoffs. In this sense, the PSG Talon League of Legends team arrives to this competition after having won the final against CTBC Flying Oyster team by 3 -2. During this match the PSG Talon team kept the momentum after getting the first place in the Spring Split and recovering after being close to elimination.
PSG Talon has another chance with their new Jersey
Already in the final of the top draw PSG Talon had been defeated by CTBC Flying Oyster. This result made the team consider a new strategy to advance and be prepared to face this team again in the event of reaching the final, which they did after defeating J Team by 3 -2. It was in this instance where they managed to redeem themselves of their defeat and become the maximum champion of this tournament, which is admirable taking into account the third place obtained in last year’s MSI where they were behind RNG and DWG Kia.
However, this year the organization surpassed teams like Cloud9 and MAD Lions, thus becoming a team to keep an eye on. This is how PSG Talon goes to the MSI along with G2 Esports, T1, Team Aze, Istanbul Wildcats, DetonatioN FocusMe and ORDER, although we still have to wait for the rest of the Sprint Splits to be finalized to obtain the complete list of teams that will participate in this competition to be held on May 10 in the city of Busan, South Korea until May 29.
